On November 5th, Missourians will be able to vote on reproductive rights in the state.
Amendment 3 will give Missourians voters a decision to reverse a ban on abortions and the main objective is to restore access to abortions in Missouri.
In June 2020, Missouri was the first state to enact a near-total ban on abortion. Amendment 3 guarantees the right to abortions, according to an article on www.kcur.org
Amendment 3 is an effort to restore abortions in Missouri, to give people right on the reproductive freedom and the decision to get abortions. The amendment says that the government shouldn’t be able to make decisions on reproduction rights.
Missouri Actions on Abortions advocates for abortion rights. Missouri Standing with Women campaign and Missouri Right to Life oppose the amendment.
Amendment 3 has allowed Missouri lawmakers to pass laws to regulate abortions after fetal viability. This would declare lots of governmental interest in limiting reproductive rights.
In August, a poll indicated. 52 percent of Missourians are supporting the ballot was measure while 34 percent opposed it and 14 percent aren’t sure, according to St. Louis University and YouGov.
