Get ready to jump into American Government with Courtney Williamson She’s one of the new teachers here at south. Before she moved here, she lived in Jefferson City and taught at Jefferson City High School. This is her 15th year. Her reason for coming to south?
“I have heard a lot of great things about Blue Springs South No one’s ever said anything bad everyone says its great place to work, and the kids are nice, the community is supportive, the teachers know what they’re doing,” she said.
When she’s not helping shape young minds, she’s quilting and going to parks with her 2 ½ year old son named Cooper. She also has a cat and Dog Bell and Izzy respectively so safe to say it’s a full house.
Like everyone else she has a favorite unit and hers is the judicial branch.
“I like stories I like understanding why things are today and I like the judicial branch specifically because they interoperate and study the constitution,” she said.
She wants kids to have a positive learning environment and to be engaged in learning
“I think that for most kids’ school is the best opportunity to make a decision about their life,” she said.
