Wednesday, February 24th, Mike Stud continued his Back to You Tour in Lawrence, Kansas at The Granada.
Stud put on an amazing show, keeping the crowd involved and having an absolutely electric performance style. Hundreds of people filed into the Granada to see Stud perform hits like “These Days”, “Swish”, and “Batter Up” to name a few. He performed songs from way back at the beginning of his career, like “College Humor” all the way to songs off his newest album, “These Are The Days”.
Stud may have been the headliner of the night, but that didn’t take anything away from the opening acts, Futuristic, Devvon Terrell, and Moosh & Twist. Futuristic put on a great performance for the fans, bringing out his right hand man Devvon Terrell. They performed songs off their collaboration album, Coast 2 Coast, and a few singles they’ve made together like “Love Yourself (Remix)”. Futuristic even did some crowd surfing. Moosh & Twist are friends of Studs and also put on quite the show.
Stud is pretty well known for switching up his flow depending on the song, some songs are slow, some songs are fast, some songs are strictly for partying. Somehow, he managed to make every single one of his songs a song for his audience to party to.
Stud had recently had the flu, so no encore was performed but he did sign autographs on the stage before the meet and greets after the show began. The meet and greets involved everyone who had anything to do with the concert, Futuristic & Devvon Terrell, and Moosh & Twist both had meet and greets of their own as well.
Mike Stud put on one of the best shows I have ever seen, and next time he comes back to the area, I definitely suggest attending, but only if you are ready to get extremely hype.
